This month is personal for me. Itās not just about awareness ā itās about survival.
I am a survivor.
Iāve lived through abusive relationships, and Iāve witnessed abuse as a child. Those experiences shaped me in ways Iām still unpacking, but they also gave me a strength I never knew I had.
I was with my first monster for almost ten years.
People often ask, āWhy didnāt you just leave?ā
And that question cuts deep ā because the answer isnāt simple.
I have so many reasons why.
Because I loved him.
Because I thought I could change him.
Because I blamed the drugs.
Because I became addicted myself.
Because my self-worth dropped below zero.
Because I was afraid.
Because I felt like I deserved it.
The list goes on. But at the same time, I canāt fully explain why ā because I donāt even know why. Itās not that easy when youāre living it. When your mind, your heart, and your spirit are being broken down piece by piece.
Looking back now, I see a woman who was surviving the only way she knew how. I also see a woman who eventually found the courage to say, āNo more.ā
To anyone who has ever asked themselves those same questions, or who feels trapped right now ā please know youāre not alone. You are not weak. You are not broken. You are still worthy of love, peace, and healing. š
This October, Iām standing not just as a survivor, but as a voice for those still finding their way out.
Letās continue to speak up, support one another, and break the silence that keeps so many suffering in the dark.
⨠And to my fellow survivors ā may we rise from the pain, reclaim our light, and glow brighter than ever before. We are the proof that even after being shattered, a woman can rebuild herself into something divine. We are the Goddess Glow ā radiant, powerful, and unbreakable. āØ
